A few steps from the Place de la Bastille, the Patrick Seguin gallery is a favorite place of mid-twentieth century design enthusiasts. Set in a former workshop of the Faubourg Saint-Antoine neighborhood and renovated by the French architect Jean Nouvel, the gallery (opened in 1989) focuses on five major figures of design and modern architecture: Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Jeanneret, Le Corbusier, Jean Royère and more notably, Jean Prouvé.
Besides working to the recognition of their works during exhibitions and events organized by prestigious institutions like the Centre Pompidou or the Musée des Arts Déco in Paris, the MoMA in New York, the Venice Biennale of Architecture or the Musée des Beaux Arts of Nancy, the gallery has published various monographs dedicated to these designers.
